Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This travel agency was a pleasure to work with. After establishing our intended route and selecting accommodations we had the fun task of choosing excursions. There was a wide variety of activities that we could fill our days with and the insights of the travel company helped us build a fantastic itinerary for our pace. They connected all the dots by organizing transfers that ensured things ran smoothly and on time. Furthermore, wonderful information was provided on our customized site that prepared us for the countries and cities we would be visiting. As an added security blanket we even had a local contact meet us with recommendations and a cell phone we could use if there were any hiccups or questions along the way. Overall a smooth and enjoyable trip that was easy to put together.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We really enjoyed the walking tours in both Budapest and Vienna. Both guides were energetic, knowledgeable, interactive, and funny (and even spent extra time with us). Based on their recommendations we found delicious food for every meal, whether sit down or on the go, and generally got some insight into city life. The first time on a segway is also memorable: a lot easier than expected, 5 minutes and we were off! Cesky Krumlov was a gem of a town (despite the heavy tourist focus) and a nice break from the big cities we'd been in. Kutna Hora day trip in the Czech Republic was a wonderful surprise as well, exploring cathedrals and the country side.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I think we would spend another (4th) day in Budapest since it feels like we left the most behind in that city. As for Vienna, it would have helped to know in advance how much of the city shuts down on a Sunday. Even though we were traveling that day we could have left earlier and not wasted as much of a morning. As for Prague, unfortunately the accommodation we chose smelled of cigarette smoke often since the worker's break area was directly under our room (and since that was the end of our trip we spent more time in the room). Hard to anticipate that but it did leave and impression.
