Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Very pleased with services provided, especially the care and patience with which our agent assisted in planning our trip. Our cell phone didn't work properly, also, we had trouble using it. Would be helpful to have a brief training guide explaining also how to adapt phone #s for use within India- do not need the first few digits. We were met at each location by a helpful representative from the company, that was appreciated, very smooth process. They handled the hotel check-ins which created a stress-free situation for us.

Our 3rd guide, in Delhi, actually took a garnet necklace from a street vendor and was marketing it to us directly- very surprising. We enjoyed visiting the factories- paper, rugs, stoneware, but the goods marketed, particularly at the jewelry store in Jaipur and the blue pottery stoneware, were of mediocre to inferior quality and the stoneware was purchased at full US retail prices- for inferior workmanship. I wish the guides would take us also to places where we could purchase good quality at good prices. That said, I understand that the factories that provide a little tour of the manufacturing process do so in return for direct sales.

Our third guide, in Delhi, I think tried to re-configure our day to meet his needs instead of ours, in dropping one of the sites, but I called our agent and he advised that we visit that site, so we did.

The ITC Mughal was our favorite hotel, and the LaLit, was the least. I responded to their online survey with feedback on worn room decor, inadequate staffing at the spa, and soiled bath mat. not a 4-5 star hotel at this point, in my opinion.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Taj Mahal was spectacular! Our driver was excellent- always on time, very pleasant and accommodating. Our first guide in Agra was our favorite. Our last driver, in Delhi, was also very prompt and accommodating.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Do more shopping in local markets, with local prices and guidance from the guide- understand that the guides have issues with advocating for their clients instead of their countrymen, can get them in trouble. We did alot of driving, that was due to our compressed itinerary, as our visit was short.

Upon your request to go for shopping, the guide offered you his personal recommendations which unfortunately did not match your expectations. We have informed the same guide to offer better and more quality based suggestions to our guests in the future. We apologise for the inconvenience because of this.

We are sorry to know that did not like the hotel Lalit. Please note that this is not our first preference suggestion. Since our first option suggestion was sold-out, we had to offer this as a second preference. We shall inform the hotel as well about your experience. We regret the inconvenience caused because of this.

Based on your review, we shall have following Improvement areas.

1. Ask representative to offer a bit of training on how to use mobile phones so that you can contact us through it.
2. Ask our guide to offer more quality based shopping suggestion (only when asked by guests)
