Travel Review: Lindsey is AWESOME!!!

Hi Zicasso team, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for referring me to Lindsey. I don't know what I would have done without her. She may well have literally been a lifesaver by arranging last-minute transport from the UK to the US for my parents. While visiting family in the UK, my parents ran into some difficulties. My father has Alzheimers, and my mother is getting older herself. But she was always able to manage herself & my dad just fine. But something happened when they arrived in London. They rented a car to get from the airport to my Aunt's, but got lost and disoriented. 18 hours later they were found by the police confused, scared and in desperate need of help. Their rental car was confiscated and they were deposited without any transportation at my Aunt's house in the countryside. Then, to make things worse, my mother fell and injured herself. All this caused my mother to have a mental breakdown, to where she seems to have lost her ability to follow conversations, make decisions, and remember important things. So we decided that we needed to get my parents home early, but given my father's Alzheimers and my mother's breakdown, we needed some serious help figuring out how to get them home to the US and do so in a way that accounted for their state of mental and physical health. I was kind of at a loss. I had tried calling companies in London that supposedly provided escort services, but nobody was calling me back and nobody responded to my e-mails. When I spoke to Lindsey and explained the situation, she immediately understood the gravity of the situation ... and immediately went into action. Within 1 hour, she called me back with a list of options - local London-based resources that could transport my parents to the airport & provide caring escort through the complexities of international travel. I was stunned at her efficiency and professionalism. Ultimately, she found us the most amazing, caring tour guide who picked up my parents at my Aunt's house, drove them to a hotel at the airport, spent the night with them at the hotel to make sure that they had dinner and didn't have any issues, and then in the morning escorted them to the airport. At the airport, Lindsey arranged for wheelchair service to help my parents navigate the check-in process, immigration control, and security. Lindsey took care of all of the arrangements: the driver / guide and everything he needed for this unusual request, the hotel arrangements, the wheelchair service ... everything! And she was unbelievably responsive - she always answered the phone when I called (and I called a lot!), and she effectively used e-mail to reinforce our phone conversations. Working with Lindsey was one of the best customer-service type experiences I have ever had. In addition to her effectiveness and efficiency, I felt that Lindsey was truly looking out for my parent's best interests. I think that the only reason we ended up with such wonderful, caring service on the ground in London was that throughout the whole process, Lindsey clearly empathized with my family's needs, and through her conversations with the people who would be helping my parents in London, she made sure they understood the situation and that they knew that they would need to treat my parents with kindness and compassion. I think that she also selected the people in London that she knew would provide the best possible care for my parents. To top it all off, we had a bunch of logistical issues stemming from the time-difference and the fact that we needed to arrange everything at the last minute. Then, after everything was resolved and all the arrangements were in place, after I was already WOWED by Lindsey's service, she went the extra mile by talking with the guide several times during the process, and communicating the status back to me. I am in complete awe at Lindsey - the owner of this travel agency. She gave me and my family peace of mind at a time when everything was chaos and I was feeling helpless. She was super effective and efficient, an amazing communicator, knowledgeable of and connected to all of the resources that could provide the specialized assistance I needed. She truly cared for me and my family's needs, and looked out for every detail to ensure that nothing went awry. Thank you, thank you, thank you for referring me to her! Ben.
