Travel Review: Luxury Birthday Trip to Ecuador & The Galapagos Islands, Cloudforest, Hiking, Snorkeling, Wildlife

If I were to take the trip again I would make sure that my teenage daughter was in the group on the cruise that included the most of the other teenagers.  We were with a group of elderly passengers and my daughter felt quite isolated (we did join the group with the other teenagers on our last day - I should have asked to switch earlier).  Additionally, I would have spoken to the head guide about our personal guide...  We felt he was extremely rude and while informative, he was very inadequate as a guide (he never learned our names - shouting "Hey Lady, are you going snorkeling?" on our 3rd day, one example among many.  He never made any effort to get to know us or to help us as a professional guide should). While we loved the Galapagos, he definitely did not contribute positively to our experience as we were increasingly unhappy with his attitude.
