Travel Review: Luxury Birthday Vacation in Slovenia, Ljubljana, Piran, Trieste, Skocjan Caves, Predjama Castle

Each day was memorable in its own way.  HIghlights were the visit to the Lipizzaner horses in Lipica, exploring the Skocjan Caves, tour of Predjama Castle in the rock,  hiking Vintar Gorge, and the views of Lake Bled.

Lunch at the Tourist Farm was another memorable afternoon.

The lakefront suite in Bled was a special visit to a grand old hotel with sweeping views and old world charm.  The hotel in Ljubljana provided every modern comfort and a perfect location to explore the city.

In addition to our busy time of sightseeing, we truly enjoyed some time on our own to explore the streets and sample the cafes in  Bled, Piran, and Ljubljana .
