Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Our France travel company was excellent. Our travel agent did an amazing job recommending cities and towns to visit in France and then planning an itinerary that allowed us to see most of France. The hotels that we stayed at were all very nice, and had good service. Also, the tours that we went on were all very good and we mostly had very good tour guides.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We really enjoyed visiting Normandy and staying Bayeux, it was a charming little town that had fantastic restaurants. We also did a D-Day tour and saw Mont Saint-Michel. We really enjoyed the countryside around Avignon and seeing the lavender fields as well. We went to the Loire Valley and Burgundy and learned a lot about those wine regions. Another excellent part was the French Riviera, which was beautiful.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We would probably go at a different time of year, it was very warm, but our travel agent did warn us of that. Also, we would have liked to have stayed in a different area in the Loire Valley. We stayed in Cheverney, which was nice, but we were not fans of the wine in Cheverney and didn't know that until we stayed there.
