Travel Review: Luxury Honeymoon in Bali & Indonesia, Gili Islands, Hiking, Biking, Horseback Riding, Culture, Romance

Our agent worked with me closely on our honeymoon trip to Bali (2 weeks). This was my first time using a travel agent and I wanted someone who would work with me, not just plan a trip for me. She was very receptive to the idea of giving me suggestions and options, with guidance. I found her easy to reach and speak to.  

As for the trip itself, there was a small hiccup at the beginning with the hotel room type being booked under a different type than we had agreed to, but this hiccup was immediately corrected and did not impact our stay.  I found the hotel choices to be amazing, with good luxury and exactly what we had hoped for.  Also the guide locally was exceptionally courteous and friendly.  All the side trips went off without a hitch and we even found that since our agent had stated it was our honeymoon to the hotels  that we got a free room upgrade and many amenities (flower petal baths at almost every hotel etc). 

She made specific recs about travel within bali including taking a flight to the Gili Islands instead of a boat, and although it took longer, we spoke to many people who took the boat and it was a harrowing experience. That was a good tip. Overall, impressed with her service and would recommend her. Lastly, she gave us realistic expectations regarding traffic in Bali- an expectation that not many travelers knew about that we met.
