Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This was a family vacation trip of a lifetime. Myself, my two adult children (22 and 23) traveled with my sister, her husband and their 3 children (18, 24, 28). Our travel company's plans surpassed my expectations each step of the way. There was meticulous planning, and our agent regularly checked back for any needed clarification. Our accommodations were great, all transfers, guides and fast train bookings handled perfectly. The one issue we experienced was due to the hotel we were booked with, not our travel company's handling (problem was resolved while we were there).

We were very late beginning the planning for a trip with 8 people and were quite concerned we would not be able to do everything we hoped. We did - and then some. From the beautiful apartment in the lively Trastevere neighborhood in Rome, to a private boat tour of Capri, this trip provided memories that will last a lifetime! Cannot recommend more highly!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

It is very difficult to highlight a single favorite since there were many very different types of experiences on this trip. I must start by saying the quality and caliber of the guides arranged was truly incredible. Every single one was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. With the group we had, I think what speaks volumes is when the kids would comment they missed the guides when we were exploring on our own!

All the usual tourist spots in Rome and Florence were great, of course. We loved the tour of the Amalfi coast (seriously, who wouldn't??). The private boat tour to Capri was a very special and wonderfully relaxing day. The Chianti hills wine tour with an amazing dinner overlooking the Tuscany countryside was simply amazing.

Meticulous planning by someone else made for a marvelous time for my family. I would need a thesaurus to give additional description. It was just perfect.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would love to spend time in Tuscany. We stayed in Florence and spent an afternoon in Tuscany which was simply delightful. Having time to enjoy and explore Tuscany a bit more would be great. We also skipped Venice this round and would definitely want to include if time permitted (we opted to Amalfi instead due to time constraint- no regrets!).
