Travel Review: Luxury New Zealand Honeymoon, Queenstown, Auckland, Lord of the Rings Sites & Hobbiton, Outdoor Activities

I think I would have rented a car for the entire trip. There were hikes and other sites we would have liked to go see but were kind of stuck in one area. A good example was when Milford Sound was cancelled due to bad weather, and it was our final day, but the weather in Queenstown was perfect for a hike, yet we were "stuck". The other thing was the in between travel. We had two full days that had flights with two 2-3 hour layovers, but the flights only 30-50 minutes long. If we had realized how easy domestic travel would have been, we would have risked a significantly shorter layover. We ended up sitting at the airport and finished an entire season of a tv show while waiting.
