Travel Review: Luxury Peru Vacation, Cuzco, Lima

These guys were GREAT.  I let them put together the complete itinerary for our trip to Peru and plan everything.  All I did was tell them the date we were landing in Lima and the date we were leaving.   I usually plan my own trips, but in this case time prevented that from happening.  This Peru travel agency called me back and had a long initial phone call to assess my needs, budget, and interests.  After a few days my inbox had an email with a very detailed and thought out trip that included everything.  It was very well planned and included things I would have never though of, like planning the trip based on altitude to minimize altitude sickness!  It included several cities/places that I had never even heard of but after talking to our travel agency, they earned my trust so I just went with it.  I'm sure glad I did, because we saw some amazing places and did some amazing things.

The trip was exceptionally smooth at every step.  Someone was always there to meet us, help us get between hotels, airports, buses, etc.  It was like having your own private translator to take the stress out of things being misunderstood because of my poor Spanish!  The various tour guides were excellent and had tons of interesting information that we would have never learned or known had we just gone ourselves and walked around.   There was adequate down time to explore on our own, but each larger city had an "orientation" tour where we learned a little about the city and learned our way around before we were just "set loose".   This was very helpful not only to get our bearings but to get suggestions on restaurants, things to do and see on our own, places to avoid, etc.

Paul, the representative that helped us was VERY informative and responsive.  We found out that he actually lives in Cusco and he even stopped by our hotel to say hello one night for a few minutes.   On our first night there was constuction going on right next to our hotel and when Paul found out, he immediately called and had our remaining night switch to the other side of the hotel in a quiet room (we even got an upgrade for free!)  If you are looking for a well planned, great time in Peru (and anywhere in Latin America I would bet) this is your place.
