Travel Review: Luxury Spain Vacation, San Sebastian, Ronda, Olive Oil Tasting, Cooking Class, Pintxos Tour, Wine, 2-Week Trip

There is no doubt that there were three particular highlights.  First, the trip to Ronda and the white villages - our guide there was one of the best tour guides we've ever had - he even sensed when I was quite scared on the side of the mountain and slowed down an told me not to worry that he would be very careful.  He had terrific stories and did a great job to engage our 15 and 12 year old kids.  Second, the day of olive oil, wine and cooking class -- our trip planner was with us on that day which made it more special.  She clearly is an expert in her region and everything felt very local - not a big, touristy cooking class - but a personalized day just for us.  Third, the Pintxos tour in San Sebastian -- not only was he an expert in all of the food but he taught us a lot about the history of the region.  And he clearly went out of his way to take us to pintxos bars that he thought we would enjoy given our interests.  Also - all of the tour guides were very very good with our kids - they didn't treat them like "kids" - but as interested adventurers!  Those were the top memories but there were many others as well!!
