Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We were overwhelmed by planning a trip to France on our own. We picked this travel company because they seemed knowledgeable about France. Our agent was very helpful and presented us with hotel options, and tour options based on what we told her we would like to do. My husband also had a meeting in London so we needed transportation arranged. Everything went smoothly. The hotel accomodations were wonderful and the tours were on time and picked us up as arranged. We had no glitches with train travel or pre-paid arrangements.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We enjoyed the French countryside the most. We took a tour of chateaus in the Loire Valley which included a stop for lunch at the Chateau de Miniere. The owner served a lunch of local foods and wines from the vineyard which we enjoyed at a large table by a fireplace in the chateau. We took a tour the next day of Normady and the historic sites of WWII which was quite moving. We stayed in the town of Bayeux which was not affected by the war so is well preserved. The town and the people were charming!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would skip Paris and spend more time in the small towns of France.
