Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

My husband, by good luck, found the Zicasso website. We were looking for a company/travel agency to assist us in planning a dream vacation to France to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. We e-mailed Zicasso Travel and through them chose this travel agency based on the information they provided us regarding their business acumen and expertise in France. We are not frequent international travelers so we wanted someone with a great attention to detail plan and help us execute this vacation. Our travel agency did just that. Our agents listened to our desires, our budget, and overall goal for this trip. They planned a spectacular vacation that covered France from Paris to the French Riviera. All of our accommodations were wonderful! We stayed in beautiful properties and felt very pampered. Our travel to each area was seamless with our train and plane tickets matched perfectly to our travel desires. We were able to contact our agent while we were in France when we had a question and she responded quickly. Having the ability to contact the travel agent personally made me feel comfortable because I have not had many opportunities to travel abroad. This trip, in conclusion, met all of our expectations and more! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will remember this vacation into eternity! I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for a first-class experience. This company is fabulous!!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved Paris and our hotel which was perfectly located near many sites and within easy walking distance to the Louvre, and Notre Dame, The food was magnificent, the French very friendly. Although there are too many beautiful sites to list, my favorite destination was the Louvre. We also loved the quieter pace of the Loire Valley and had a beautiful hotel on the river. The chateaus were magnificent, the countryside beautiful. The town of Bordeaux was wonderful as well. We had some great wine tasting experiences and learned a lot about French wine making. The French Riviera was unmatched in it's beauty. My husband enjoyed the small towns, specifically the towns of Grasse, Gourdon and Eze. These tiny towns give the traveler a feel for what France is about, perched up on a hill with magnificent views and wonderful, unique shops. We had many small group tours and some private tours. We will always remember the beautiful monuments of Paris, the food we experienced and the journey we took to get to this unforgettable dream vacation. It couldn't have been better!!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

As far as this trip goes, really nothing. We might have eliminated one wine tasting in Paris but overall everything was perfect! We might allow ourselves more free time and a looser itinerary. We like, on our maiden voyage, to really learn something about the country we are visiting. The only way, we feel, for us to get the most out of a trip is to go on small tours and learn from the guides. But, I could not think of anything I would do differently. It met all of our expectations. It was perfect in every way!
