Travel Review: Luxury Tour of India

Timing for our trip to Thekkady was not planned well. The resort where we stayed said in their brochure that it was a 2.5-3 hour drive from the Kochi Airport. As soon as we met our driver, he informed us that the drive was more likely 5-5.5 hours. Arriving at 3pm meant we didn’t get to our destination until 9pm. The restaurant at the hotel was closed and we were very tired so no dinner that night. The next morning, a walking tour through a wildlife preserve started before breakfast was available so we missed that also. As it turns out, it was 11 hours of driving for 1.5 days spent. Not worth it. When we talked to our agent, we let her know the actual time travelled so they would do that trip differently in the future.
