Travel Review: Luxury Vacation to Italy and France, Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Carrara, Lucca, Siena, Chianti, Paris, etc.

One of the unexpected delights was having a local guide take us through Carrara to learn about the famous marble used by Michelangelo. The guide had a connection with a 'master' sculptor. We were able to watch him and his students work on a statue which started twelve years ago. It's this kind of going behind the scene that makes for a rewarding trip. Lindsey found us local guides in Lucca and Siena, as well. All very good. Her choices of hotels in both Lucca and Paris were spot on. Lindsey was professional in every way. She anticipated our needs and made many useful suggestions.
