Travel Review: Peru Vacation, Lima, Puno, Ollantaytambo, Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu, Moray Rings & Salt Flats, Farm Tour

The ride on the bus to Puno was interesting. I think it could have been explained a little better to us in all the printed information we received. We did not know that there would be stops along the way. We just knew we would have a 10 hour bus ride. It was very pleasant and we had a great guide. But when we got to the bus station in Puno we did not know we were switching to another tour company. 

It was also not made clear that we would definitely need Soles from here on for the rest of our trip. So we didn’t have money. We had American money and charge cards that even our hotel in Puno didn’t really want to use. So on all the islands we could not buy anything. That was sad.

The boat ride in Lake Titicaca was nice, and the islands so interesting. We felt so bad that we couldn’t buy anything from them.

When we arrived at Suasi Island it was beautiful. Our room fantastic and so was the food. We both wished we had not spent another day in Cusco after Machu Picchu. We should have spent 2 days on the island.
