Travel Review: Scotland, Edinburgh, Inverness, Hiking & Cruising, History

In comparison to three other Zicasso trips and other travels we've taken, this tour company provided good, but not superior, service. 

Our original hotel in Edinburg was dirty and dumpy -clearly not up to the 4-star level as promised. It was blocks from restaurants and almost a mile from the major attractions.  At the end of our trip back in Edinburgh, our specialist moved us to a better hotel in a better location. Upon check-out of the replacment hotel, we had to use our credit card for the room chareges; we alerted our specialist and the hotel later credited us for those chrages.

Our historical walking tour in Edinburgh was cancelled without prior notice to us. We waited an hour for another group tour - which was of only average quality.  

We waited in line more than hour to get our Enterprise rental car which turned out to be an overly-large seven-passenger van.

Some of our other hotels were less charming than 4-star hotels we experienced on other Zicasso trips.
