Travel Review: South Pacific Vacation, New Zealand South Island & Fiji Tour, Milford Sound Cruise, Hiking

I'd have talked more to our vacation planner. Had I asked more questions we might have chosen different hotels (with outdoor seating areas or more scenic places to spend our downtime, which is something that we like to do.) Also, our guided hike was far too slow and easy, we were looking for mountain climbing and vistas, not a leisurely bird hike. Having said that, our guide for the hike was great, very informative and nice,  and it is pretty everywhere in New Zealand so we didn't exactly suffer!

As he had expressed, like most travel companies, we don’t itemize elements of a vacation package. We have contract rates with airlines, hotels and tour operators that are as good as or better than what you’ll find on the internet. We get great rates because of the volume of business we deliver to those hotels and operators. But our rates are unpublished, in other words, we can’t advertise or promote nightly rate for a hotel or particular tour. Just like Expedia, we get those rates on an understanding that we will bundle them with other hotels and tours as a package price. Thanks for booking your vacation with us!
