Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This travel company sent us on an amazing journey to an area that, as Americans, we would have had a great deal of difficulty navigating on our own. The quality of the hotels was fantastic, the guides provided were exceptional, and the experiences we shared as a family will be memories for a lifetime.

In addition to a great tour, our travel company was exceptionallly responsive to our needs. They provided expedited service through the airports (including a surprise upgrade to business class on one leg of the journey), we were never left waiting for our guides, and in the single instance that we ran into a bit of trouble at one of our destinations, the agency moved immediately to rectify the situation. We thank this company for their very personalized attention.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Each country that we visited on this trip made lasting impressions. The sites we saw were amazing, and activities were abundant. The interactions we had with the peoples of the nations we travelled through were the most memorable part, however. Speaking with and sharing in the lifetime experiences of our guides, gave us insights to the region that we would have not had access to, had we travelled alone. Additionally, our travel company arranged some very special one on one audiences with artists, musicians and a veteran of the Vietnam war. This feature was extremely unique to our travels, and added a personalized quality to our experience.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We saw and learned so much on this journey. There is little to be even slightly negative about. I think the time of year we travelled was a bit of a drawback for some members of our party - very hot and humid. However, because of the weather, it was low travel season for the region, therefore, much less crowded.

If I were to shorten the trip slightly, I would have not done the visit to Bangkok. As a city it was much more westernized than the other areas we travelled to. Maybe more of the Thai countryside would have given better exposure. This portion of the travel, however, was an add-on requested by one of our group. It was an accommodation made by our travel company, rather than a proposal they put forward.
