Thank you to everyone at this travel company, especially the travel designers, for enabling Denise and me to have such an enjoyable, fun, enlightening, tasty, and stress-free travel experience in Southeast Asia.
Everything on our travels was wonderful, and it all unfolded impeccably, from the travel company's initial design to their detailed planning, to the seamless execution and logistics. Visits, hotels, guides, and meals were all carefully planned and orchestrated to suit our travel style. We loved all the hiking, as well as historic and cultural visits. The hotels were all excellent to superb, usually within walking distance of city centers or old towns, as we requested, so we could enjoy them on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed all the local and spicy food, too much of it in fact. The guides were well informed, spoke good English, and were always on time.
Such a wonderfully conceived and organized trip was thanks to the company's extensive, first-hand knowledge of all of the countries, sights, and lodgings, and their considerable attention to our interests. Thank you.
The travel designers and the entire travel team are A-plus, top-notch, first-rate.
And their contingency planning when circumstances changed was superb, especially when we needed to add extra days in Chiangmai and when they quickly booked us another boat to cruise Halong Bay when our first boat was canceled due to the coronavirus scare.
We can’t thank this travel company enough or sing our praises of this travel company loud enough.
Fondly, Richard and Denise D.
When we travel, we sense how fulfilling the experience is by how much we’re in the moment. Are we somewhere where we could be nowhere else, where because of the setting, circumstances, sights, timing, hotel, guide, food, etc. we find ourselves in a unique place and time? Where we are thoroughly immersed in the local culture and people? Where we are not stressed and anxious about personal or global issues? Where we are not in a homogenized setting that could be anywhere and nowhere (think big chain hotels or shopping malls or fast food or...)?
On our Southeast Asian travels, we were in the moment virtually all the time, as we totally enjoyed and were often enthralled by where we were, and what we were doing and seeing and eating and learning and contemplating.
Thanks to this travel company for making this happen, for helping us find and stay in the moment.
Some of the highlights in a month of travel included: the temples of Angkor Wat and surroundings, Siem Reap, and our guide; the cooking class and the day of elephant caring in Chiangmai; the White Temple, Hall of Opium, and Mae Salong Mountain near Chiangrai; the Mekong River Cruise; all of Luang Prabang, especially the hike through the forest to swimming in Kwangsi Waterfalls (maybe our favorite activity on the entire trip) and our guide; the cruise on Halong Bay; and finally the sights and flavors of Hanoi, Hue and Hoi An.
