Zimbabwe & South Africa Travel Review: African Safari, Cape Town, Natural Beauty, 16-Day Vacation

COVID tests are an unfortunate necessity when traveling these days. However, the time required in planning for and obtaining these tests in a foreign country and the related expense of these tests cannot be over emphasized. We are fairly seasoned travelers and were mentally prepared for the situation, but even so we were still thoroughly challenged. Many of the issues related to obtaining COVID tests in foreign countries are outside of the travelers' and travel agents' control. Therefore, I am not certain that anything can be done to minimize the time, expense and effort required. Nevertheless, I would warn fellow travelers to expect some anxious moments and be prepared if necessary to contact their travel agents. Fortunately, we had great back up from this travel team and it's in-country agents whenever any issues arose. If possible, we would suggest that travelers minimize the number of countries that they visit in one trip in order to avoid the stress of additional tests at border crossings.
