Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed your trip overall and found many of our guides and services to be excellent.
The airline strike was very unfortunate, particularly as Argentinas national carrier has been working hard to improve its service in recent years, and the last-minute lift of the strike was extremely unusual.
We are so surprised by your description of the chef’s house being ‘unsanitary’ as we experience firsthand each and every service we offer. We have personally vetted the cooking class and in over three years of offering the experience, we have only received glowing feedback. In fact, we had another group do the class within a few days of you and, in their review, they noted the class as one of the most enjoyable or memorable parts of the trip. Nevertheless, we take all comments very seriously and are already in the process of further investigation.
Finally, regarding your wine tours, we assume you are referencing the tours in Chile as our guides in Mendoza are some of the highest-rated wine guides in the industry, particularly well known for bringing guests to small wineries (the owner of one of the wineries is an old friend of ours and built the winery with his brothers in an old barn). In Chile, as we discussed, prices are considerably higher than Argentina so we switched the tours to a less boutique company. We planned this together during the booking process as one of several measures to accommodate your budget.
An extremely important part of what we do is setting clear expectations. We do our very best to ensure our guests are fully aware of all the services they will be receiving. Thanks to your valuable feedback, we are reassessing our process and considering additional highlighting and/or repeating certain passages in our emails so that no details are missed by our future guests.
