Argentina

Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

The representatives were very helpful and responsive. We really had no idea how to set up the trip to southern Argentina and their help was very valuable. There were a few very small issues along the way, but the people were very helpful in resolving them, which was great.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The mini trek to the glacier in the national park.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

In Patagonia, I wish we had known that there were different options for the glacier hike -- I don't think we were told about the 3 hour hike on the glacier itself. The one we did was very cool, but stayed on the outskirts.
In retrospect as we really like hiking, we would have liked more time in El Chalten. We took a bus from El Calafate to the El Chalten park and we were told that we'd have many options for hiking but actually we had somewhat limited time (about 4 hours) so we couldn't do the longer hikes we hoped to do. If we'd known we might have stayed overnight in El Chalten so that we didn't have to rely on going back with a larger group, most of whom seem more interested in a lunch than the hike.

The Ice trekking on top of Perito Moreno Glacier included in your trip was the Mini Trekking tour and I am very happy you all enjoyed it. The other tour that is 3 hs trekking was not included as the age limit is 50 years old and it is very strict. This is why we included the correct tour for your family
Due to the amount of days you had for your total stay in Patagonia, I did not offer the option to overnight in El Chalten and change hotels but thank you for your feedback about trekking hours.
Jessica, I hope you return to visit your son in Buenos Aires again and you can spend more days trekking in Patagonia!
