Australia Luxury Travel Review: Melbourne, Point Leo, Perth, Nambung National Park, Great Ocean Road, Wine Tours, Local Cuisine

Being foodies of sorts, Dick knew this and planned for a couple of especially memorable meals, one being at Point Leo outside of Melbourne; the other south of Perth at Amelia Park Winery; both meals (as well as others) will be in our memory for some time.  Just wonderful, as were the servers who we found at nearly all the places we visited especially friendly and authentic.  I think it's an Aussie thing and we could all take a lesson!  Along the food subject, we had lunch at the Lobster Shack north of Perth; great experience, especially as we got to tour the lobster 'factory' of this rather amazing family business.  Also, the wine tours were interesting and helped provide those with interest as to the personal and subjective take on Australian wines.  Of course, the 'wine country' was beautiful with their acres (hectares?) of vineyards.  The white sand dunes were (literally) burned into minds forever, also north of Perth as are the Pinnacles in the Nambung National Park, kindly phenoms of Mother Nature.  Getting pretty much off the beaten track in Port Lincoln among the stunted growth eucalyptus, provided a very up close and personal koala experience not in a zoo setting.  Very special.  We were able to see the more or less still intact 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road and while there, amazingly, an echidna cooperatively showed itself.  We enjoyed seeing cities not previously visited, particularly Adelaide and Perth, such wonderful cities!
