Australia Luxury Trip Review: Sydney, Port Lincoln, Melbourne, Hamilton Island, Blue Mountains, Nature & Wildlife, 3-Week Vacation

We would highly recommend this travel company. Our agent Penny planned a three-week adventure to Australia for us (my wife and myself) and it was beyond excellent. She took the time to get to know us, our interests, our budget, and what we really wanted to do in Australia.

We worked together to fine-tune our itinerary and once everything was finalized, she provided us with additional information, staying engaged the entire time leading up to our trip. The trip information was then sent to us in a highly organized packet and we were given an app to download that had the whole itinerary loaded in it, which we could follow daily on our phones. The app has every detail of the trip, including who you are meeting for a tour, phone numbers if needed, links to the websites that are applicable, and much more. We actually showed other tourists the app during our trip, and they couldn't believe how organized it was as well.

For our trip, we went to Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Port Lincoln, Melbourne, and Hamilton Island (Great Barrier Reef and Whitsundays area). Each place we visited had different tours tied to it that we had pre-planned, and each time everything went off without a hitch. People met us exactly on time, the tours were engaging, and people knew exactly who we were when we met and much more. The tours and things that we saw were exactly what we talked about and had planned. My wife and I also planned a few things on our own which Penny was able to add to the app which was great, so we could have our add-on items and the final itinerary all together.

Besides being immersed in Australian culture and feeling somewhat local, we really wanted to see some of the natural areas and wildlife that you always hear about. That was the highlight of our trip as well. We saw so many different animals in the wild it is hard to describe how great it was: kangaroos and their joeys, wallabies and their joeys, koalas (these are actually hard to see in the wild but we were sent us to a special place where they are really close, and it was the biggest highlight). We saw emus, too many birds to name, dolphins, whales, sea turtles (actually swimming with them on a snorkel), too many unique fish to name and a possum seeking shelter from the cold in a hotel lobby. Basically, all the iconic Australian animals and experiences you can think of for Australia.

Each tour we did was fantastic as well, meeting locals and getting to know each area along the way. We had a few people tell us they were extremely impressed with what we were seeing and where we ended up, "a lot of people don't know about some of these places you have been, what a great trip you have planned."

Along the way for the whole trip, Penny followed along our itinerary and also made sure everything was going smoothly. We didn't really have any big issues, but you could tell she was following along and engaged. At one of our hotels, she even made a call to them to ensure a small issue was being resolved. What a great customer service attitude.

All our flights in the country worked out great as well and went off without a hitch. Overall, when traveling to a different country, it is great to have a local group help you out and know that you are in good hands. The travel company with our point of contact at the helm, did an exceptional job for us, and as you can tell, they come highly recommended.
