We just returned from a fantastic 17-day trip to Australia arranged by Shelley at the travel agency. Zicasso matched us up with Shelley and her firm after an issue with our previous agent. Shelley was a lifesaver and able to create a new itinerary that closely matched our initial plans despite the short notice. She also provided suggestions to fine-tune and improve our previous plans to better match current flight schedules and tour offerings that worked with our travel style.

All of the tours and activities she booked were enjoyable. A particular bonus was having local contacts that we could reach out to when the inevitable travel glitch occurred, allowing us to quickly get back on our way. We appreciated Shelley's knowledge and professionalism throughout the process. We highly recommend Shelley and the travel agency and will work with them the next time we plan to visit Australia or New Zealand.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We really enjoyed the small group tours that Shelley arranged as they provided a more personal experience. Of note was the excellent tour provided in Kangaroo Island. The tour guide was personable and knowledgeable and the small group size of six made it feel almost like a private tour. She prepared the most wonderful lunch at their private bush picnic site on a working sheep station where we ate local King George whiting, local produce and salads and wines produced right on KI. We also really enjoyed our time in Uluru and Kata Tjuta. I would recommend taking advantage of some of smaller, specialty tours offered there to enjoy the natural beauty up close.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would make sure we had our arrangements set a bit earlier to have a better choice of accommodations in some locations. However, this was not caused by our eventual agent, but our previous agent. We would add a day to Uluru to provide time to do the King's Canyon Rim walk.
