Croatia Travel Agent Review: Zagreb, National Park Plitvice Lakes, Split, Trogir, Catamaran, Korcula, Beaches, Dubrovnik....

As far as the services provided, we really enjoyed both our tours and they were probably about equal in information and services; they are a little hard to compare since they were of two very different places (Dubrovnik and Split). But I think I enjoyed an excuse to really chat with locals most of all. I would say Dubrovnik was my favorite place and the tour guide most friendly (Ana I think), but I think she was easy to relate and talk to because she was a young girl around our age. Our tour guide in Split (Leo) was much older and extremely knowledgeable. He wasn't as easy to related to, but he had some amazing life experiences and perspectives that were fascinating to hear over coffee after our tour was done and he expressed great interest in us as people, which I appreciated because its nice to be perceived as more than just a job. As for the drivers, I think we found our driver (can't remember his name, but starts with an L) from Istria to Plitvice the most amusing because he definitely had very strong opinions on music (all Barry White, Frank Sinatra style) and was very keen on enticing us to sing along. He was kinda like a quirky grandfather. He would periodically point out fascinating things along our trip too, which we really appreciated. Our next driver (Ante) Plitvice to Split was probably the best though because we found we could talk to him about anything - from TV shows to relationship to travel to politics to history. Seemed like a great guy, very friendly, made sure we got to our hotel ok and even gave us his number since he lived locally in case we needed anything. A+ for Ante. The next driver who picked us up from the ship from Korcula to Dubrovnik was a dud. His name was Ivan and he was courteous enough, but you could tell it was just a job to him. He carried luggage, let us stop for breaks, etc. like the other drivers, but he was about as talkative as a rock and we kinda felt like he would be happier to be carrying packages vice people. I think that was it in terms of service provided.
