Egypt Luxury Tour Review: Cairo, Luxor, Alexandria, Giza Pyramids, Nile River Cruise, Abu Simbel, Aswan, 12-Day Trip

I couldn't be happier with the time I had in Egypt. Our Zicasso tour operator set up a perfect journey for me and my daughter. A representative in Cairo got us seamlessly through all the formalities as we entered and left the country, and introduced us to our Cairo guide and driver who took us through Giza, Cairo, and Alexandria at the beginning and the end of our stay. Both were amiable companions and our guide had a great knowledge of the history of Egypt, from about 2600 BC to the present. ( We laughed about the test she was going to give us at the end of our trip – we knew she was only joking. There's so much to learn!)

Our driver was there again to help us at the airport to Luxor, and we were met by another representative who introduced us to another guide who was a knowledgeable, warm, and wonderful person with a great sense of humor. We loved him.

In Luxor, we enjoyed a four-day Nile cruise, getting off every day for exciting adventures – temples, bike riding, and carriage rides, with our guide showing the way. He took us to the Aswan airport for a quick ride to Abu Simbel and back, then on to Cairo, all handled without our worrying about luggage, etc.

We were met at the Cairo airport and taken to our hotel, and our guide showed us around notable religious buildings and sites. Our driver also drove us to Alexandria and we marveled at the new library there, which was really amazing. The whole trip was wonderful.
