Our Zicasso travel agent was amazing!

We regularly travel internationally and have used the services of many travel agents. She really stands out from the crowd! She took the time to understand our interests and put together a customized itinerary that worked really well around our constraints. She went out of her way to suggest what we could do on our own and was always willing to accommodate the changes we made to perfect the itinerary.

Most notably, since our trip was planned before the war broke out on October 7, our agent even arranged to discuss the feedback from other travelers to allay our concerns about visiting the Middle East during uncertain times. During the trip, she was in touch with us via WhatsApp and email to check on us, and made us feel extremely safe and well taken care of, especially given the situation in the region. The travel partners used in Egypt (local hosts, tour guides) were excellent as well, and we felt we were in good hands every step of the way.

Thanks to our tour operator, her attention to detail, and her impeccable service, we had the most memorable trip to Egypt and would recommend her very highly. We will most definitely be using her services in the future!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved every day of our trip!

Each day brought new sights and the rich history of Egypt was explained to us quite well by the excellent tour guides, who spoke English well and were very knowledgeable. The highlight of our trip was the visit to Abu Simbel! We are so glad we added that to our trip! And the most fascinating tomb we visited in Luxor was in the Valley of the Queens, which many tourists skip.
Besides the sights and the sounds in Egypt, we thoroughly enjoyed the food in Egypt and loved the food tour in Cairo!

The icing on the cake was on the last night of our trip when we stayed at the hotel which overlooks the Pyramids of Giza. There was an Egyptian wedding in the evening for which the pyramids were lit up beautifully. That was the most mesmerizing sight, directly from our room!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The local tour guides in each city we visited peddled the “tourist trap” shops they perhaps got incentives for. This seems to be very common practice in Egypt and a warning about this would have helped us avoid unnecessary stops.

We would also allocate more time to visit places we could not due to our time constraints.
