Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

The travel agency was the best choice for this trip! We chose them because they are from Tanzania. We were spoiled! Our safari driver felt like family at the end of our mainland part--- he was always patient and polite with us, and at the end he was joking around in a way that fit with our family! He also was an expert driver--which is required on the roads there!
The agency took care of our every need-- we texted updates to one another after family discussions during planning, or even during the trip. An example was that my youngest daughter had an issue with her braces at the airport just before we boarded our flight to Tanzania. The travel agency arranged that we could see a dentist the first day, so that she did not have any troubles during the trip. Or we left flip flops on a fishing boat in Zanzibar and our driver took up to the boat owners home to pick them up!
Only one complaint: the food was so delicious, we all gained weight!
We are so glad we went with this travel agency!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Our family got to see the Big 5 at the Ngorongoro Crater and even lions grabbing a zebra lunch in the Serengti. As an extra special treat, the President of Tanzania was staying in our hotel at the Ngorongoro Crater, so we got a special performance of the Maasai people singing.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is not advertised enough (on purpose?)--it is majestic! Giraffes and elephants coming up the hills, Maasai villages. Just breathtaking, all of it.
Lake Eyasi region is just amazing--and what a treat to see the Hadzabe tribe--they have a clicking language. A joy to hear a tribesman describe what animal each different arrow is used.
Another day we really enjoyed was the local tour company dhou private trip we took--- marvelous captain and snorkeling guide. Tremendous lunch on a private isle with swimming the in the perfect water!l

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We would stay at the larger hotel the agency suggested at first, instead of the little boutique hotel. The service and people at the hotel were wonderful, but the cleaning services were haphazard at best. It was a shame the ocean area was not clear of seaweed, as that and the sea urchins made it very unfriendly to swim.
Also, we would like to return when more Stone Town museums are open after renovations.
We would also make sure we had lots of USD singles for tips. The workers rely on this, and we just were not aware that dollars would be needed, except for the driver tips at the end.
We also would visit more parks in Tanzania mainland--- so much beauty in this country!
