Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Our Zicasso travel agent was fantastic. She planned a great trip that matched what we were looking for, then helped to figure out last-minute changes because of bad weather during the trip. It was comforting knowing someone else cared about the success of our trip as much as we did, and was willing to work to make things run smoothly.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The hot-air balloon was amazing. I would highly recommend that company because there was another company trying to launch at the same time and they struggled a lot more.

The bike tour around Versailles was also a highlight. Our guide had great energy, adapted to the crowd, and was incredibly knowledgeable. It was a rainy day, so it could have been a lowlight, but she turned the day into a highlight of our trip.

Our dinner at a restaurant in Paris was also fun. I could have used more info on the whole experience (for example, we didn't know there was only one menu choice and that it was already paid for).

The hotels were great and aligned with what we were looking for. We also liked the restaurant recommendations, such as the one after the Versailles day.

The castle tour day was also nice, with a good mix of two castles. The tour guide was a bit young and I didn't love how she left us to roam on our own at both castles, but I could see how some people might prefer that.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The chocolate and pastry tour was a lowlight. The tour guide was very soft-spoken, so it was very hard to hear her. The food was good, but I don't think we would do this again.

The driver was quite late picking us up from the airport, which was unfortunate. He also did not seem apologetic, so the whole arrival in Paris was anti-climactic. The company might be fine though, as the driver who drove us back to the airport was lovely.

The Louvre scavenger hunt was a little disappointing. The tour guide was nice, but she seemed nervous, especially since our daughter was jet-lagged and had trouble understanding her accent, so it was probably awkward for her because it didn't seem like our daughter was having fun. Our son liked it.

Last minute, we added things like the Arc de Triomphe and Musée l'Orangerie. If I had thought about it more ahead of time, I would have planned those things into the trip originally.

I would have liked more and varied restaurant recommendations. For example, casual options, street-food options, and other-ethnicity foods.
