Greece Luxury Trip Review: Crete, Oia Santorini, Athens, Roman Ruins, Fine Dining, Beach & Hiking

We enjoyed each place we spent time in Greece. I found Athens to be surprisingly vital. We had very little time there, but we thoroughly enjoyed our food tour, with our guide, as an introduction to the city and the tour of the Acropolis. I would actually like to revisit Athens and spend more time there. We took a day trip to Delphi where we had a terrific guide and driver, also another guide. After Delphi, our guide from Athens took us to a small fishing village where we had a great meal in a lovely setting.
In Crete, we rented a car and took several trips on our own, to Elafonisi Beach from Hania, and from Iraklio to Zaros for
trout lunch and then to  Phaistos and Gortyna in southern Iraklio, where we saw Roman and Minoan ruins without crowds
of people. The mountains of Crete are rugged, and beautiful, filled with flowers at this time of year. 
With our excellent guide in Crete, we drove to a charming port village, Sfakia, from which we accessed by boat the very charming village of Loutro. We hiked there and ate lunch by the water and then boated back to Sfakia. She also told us a great deal about life in Crete, That was a wonderful day.
 Santorini is a stunningly beautiful island. It was wonderful to sit on our porch and look out  at the water and the island formation. We also loved doing the hike from Oia to Fira which was amazingly beautiful.  Our food throughout our trip was wonderful. In Santorini we especially liked our dinner at a certain restaurant and a sunset fresh fish dinner at another.  Our guide in Santorini for half a day was so personable and knowledgeable about about the Minoan ruins there.  She also showed us some smaller villages on the island which we wouldn't have found on our own, which were interesting and charming.
