Greece Luxury Vacation Review: Crete, Chania, Naxos, Santorini, Athens, Acropolis, Sifnos, Boat Trip

Among the highlights of our trip were tours of Athens, the Acropolis, and the museum. We must also compliment our driver in Athens.

Our hotel dinner in Athens on the first night was amazing, and despite it being late, the staff were welcoming. The food, service, and hotel’s location were great.

The hotel in Chania, in an old Venetian palace, was perfect! We loved our village tour with a kind and enthusiastic guide. He showed us a lot about village life and we met his Yaya (grandmother)!

At a dinner in a taverna in Chania, the staff insisted we try sfakianes pies. They were fantastic, topped with thinly sliced grilled zucchini and eggplant.

On the boat tour from Naxos, the water was calm and the food great. The hotel there was new, with sweet owners who were very good to us.

Sadly, while in Sifnos at the end of our trip, I got Covid, but the owner of our pretty inn brought food to me in my room every day, up a long flight of stairs.
