Greece Vacation Review: Athens, Crete, Santorini, Monastery, Wine Tasting, 10-Night Trip

In Athens it was our evening Plaka walking tour with our guide with food and drink stops. The drink stop was fun and felt very hip and trendy which our daughters enjoyed. We also enjoyed the Acropolis tour. In Crete our one day was rained out for outdoor cooking experience but we had a really fun experience at a local restaurant called Dounais. The owner cooks outdoors and brings his delicacies to the table. Another favorite was our wine tour at a Monastery. The sommelier was very knowledgable and created great anticipation describing each wine before we tasted it. We took a short hike with our guide by Saint John the Hermit monastery and saw a cave. We really enjoyed the day. Lastly we went to Santorini and the views were stunning! I would say it's more touristy while Crete gave us a feel for native Greecian island life.
