Long story, short: My husband and I had a stress-free, informative, exciting, and totally memorable trip to Greece, all planned and executed at the expert hands of this travel agency and we would highly, highly recommend them! And, the next time we travel, we will absolutely be using this travel agency/Zicasso; I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else!!

Long story:

From the initial stages of planning to our arrival in Greece, and throughout our entire stay, our travel agency's services were top-notch! Our agent was instrumental in helping us plan our memorable trip! She listened to our wants and requests, and always did her best to ensure we were satisfied with the itinerary. She responded to inquiries promptly and was always friendly and helpful. Once you start working with her, she makes all of your dreams of a vacation a reality. And she makes it seem so effortless that you can't resist!

The best part about planning our vacation to Athens, Naxos, Santorini, then back to Athens, was that all transfers, excursions, pick-ups, etc. were all taken care of! What a relaxing way to travel! Our in-country contact met us at the airport upon our arrival in Greece, and we felt taken care of immediately. She always checked-in with us via Messenger, even when we weren't in Athens to make sure we were okay, remind us of important information, and answer any questions we had.

Everyone we met in Greece from taxi drivers, restaurant employees, store owners, hotel staff, and especially the Siva employees, were friendly and kind, and always made us feel welcome!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We made so many wonderful memories in Greece, but here are a few that stand out the most!

1. The private tour around Athens with our guide viewing the Acropolis was absolutely incredible. She was SO knowledgeable, easy-going, helpful, and friendly. I wish I could have personally hired her to accompany us for the duration of our entire trip! She seemed to love any and all questions we had, and you can tell that she has a passion for the history of Greece and an appreciation for people who want to learn about it. She was so awesome and if you get a chance to choose your tour guide for the 1/2 Day Athens tour, CHOOSE HER! You will not be disappointed!

We also just loved Athens, in general. We really enjoyed walking around the streets, visiting Plaka, touring the Ancient Agora site on our own, finding unique eats and shops, etc. I would encourage visitors to spend at least 4 days in Athens. There is so much to see and do!

2. We also recommend the Full-Day Sightseeing Tour in Santorini, ending with the Sunset in Oia. If you do this tour, you will leave feeling like you have seen the ENTIRE island. Our guide was knowledgeable and informed us on many interesting details. She was like a teacher in Akrotiri, using visual images and maps on her iPad, which really helped us understand and appreciate all of the history it had to offer. A++ for her! Knowing that the Akrotiri sight is probably the oldest and well-preserved thing we have seen in all of our travels is definitely unforgettable. We also lucked-out because the "group tour" ended up being very small and that made it much more enjoyable because we could easily follow our guide and move quickly through the different stops.

3. The Semi-Private (small group of about 16 people) Sunset Cruise on a Catamaran in Santorini was lovely! Of course, the sunset seen from the boat was stunning, but swimming and snorkeling in various spots, including the hot (warm) springs in the Aegean Sea was exciting and refreshing. So glad we did this!

4. If you are looking for a laid-back, relaxing beach location- go to Naxos!!! Beautiful, quiet, not overrun by tourists. We had dinner and lunch directly ON the beach every day, just feet, sometimes inches, away from the Aegean Sea. Those were the most memorable, romantic, and relaxing meals. Wish we could go back!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The only two things we would change about our trip are NOT faults of our travel agency; they are more due to our own traveling ignorance.

1. We did a Full-Day Tour to Delphi. This was our least favorite event during our entire vacation. Seeing Delphi was nice, but the 3-hour long bus tour was not enjoyable. Also, unfortunately, our guide did not seem overly enthusiastic about being a guide or delivering the information. It was like she was being forced to give a presentation on a topic she's gone over a thousand times. Also, as a personal preference that my husband and I just learned, we do not like group tours. It is difficult to follow, hear all the information, and she had to translate into another language, so the tour felt twice as long in the blazing hot heat because we were hearing everything twice. Then when we had time to explore on our own, it was very rushed and limited. Again, this is NO fault of our travel agency, but just advice for travelers, look carefully into group tours. They may be perfect for some people, but my husband and I learned we definitely prefer small groups or private tours.

2. Finally, the only other thing we would change is to look more carefully at the time lapse in between our hotel check-out and our ferry or flight transfer. The ferries are apparently often off-schedule, and unlucky for us, we had to check-out of our hotel at 11am, and our ferry wasn't until 7pm. That was a lot of time to kill, with nowhere comfortable to relax or enjoy. Again, this is NOT a fault of this travel agency, just a note for us to now look at and inquire more about before confirming our itinerary.
