Iceland Vacation Review, Hot Springs, Northern Lights, Landscape, Volcanoes, History & Culture

Overall the tour was very good.  We enjoyed ourselves very much.   Iceland is such a beautiful country,  endowed with mountains, lakes, waterfalls, volcanos, hot-springs etc. We thoughrouly enjoyed ourselves, as our programme was very extensive, covering North, South, East and Western part of Iceland.  We enjoyed very much soaking in the different hot-spring  pools.   What we and the travel agent could not control was the weather. So on certain days, some of the sights had to be cancelled because of severe weather conditions which  resulted in road closures.
Of course the Northern Lights would be memorable. But we were not so lucky.  The Northern Lights appeared a couple of nights, but were not intense.
Our tour guide was very good.  He is very knowledgeable about the country, its history, economy, geology, and cultural aspects of Iceland. He was a very good driver and we all felt  safe with him.  On a personal note, I would like to extend a special appreciation to our tour guide for his help and support when I was taken ill for a few days during the tour. 
To conclude, on a scale of 5, we would like to give a rating of four for our overall experience of the trip.
