India, Nepal & Sri Lanka Travel Review: Delhi, Sarnath, Varanasi, Taj Mahal, Goa, Jaipur Cooking Class, Kathmandu

There were so many including seeing where Ghandi was assassinated, the exploration of both old and new Delhi with all of the sites and smells (spices!), religious components of Varanasi, going to Sarnath (actually seeing Buddha's ashes!), the Taj Mahal (no pictures can capture the beauty and grandeur adequately), Goa and its night life and beaches, spice plantation; Sri Lanka with its beaches. Oh can't forget high tea with local family in Agra and the evening cooking demo in Jaipur.

Sri Lanka was a most pleasant surprise! The people were absolutely so friendly, beaches were fantastic, and sanitation more progressive. Very clean! This country is overlooked way too much! Hard to believe they went through a 30 year war and tsunami. We stayed in the Bentota area.

We went to Kathmandu, Nepal to visit a nephew and found the countryside absolutely stunning and the people very friendly. This country seemed to blend all of the various religions very well. They even worship in each other's temples/mosques.

The hotels were all first class but our favorites were Shangri La in New Delhi and the Taj in Goa.

Our India tour company had the expertise necessary for an excellent trip including working with an Indian agency where our every need was provided for including tremendous help in "walking" us through the numerous Indian airports.
