Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We enjoyed the trip, but my advice to any future traveler is to make sure the travel agency is clear about the amount of driving that you will have to do if you plan to see everything that is on the itinerary. In order to see everything that is promised, you will need a helicopter.

We were clear in our specifications that we wanted to stay in the middle of the towns that we were scheduled to visit. The first itinerary that we were presented accomplished that. When we received the actual itinerary three of the four places that we visited were in the center of town, the last place was several miles away from town and since we had a driver that leaves at the end of 8 hours made it harder for us to enjoy Irish hospitality.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The people, the food, and the culture. Irelands biggest industry is tourism and the people take that to heart. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible, the portions were generous, and well done. The culture in the smaller towns that we visited slowed life down and we enjoyed the pace.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Absolutely. We would find two or three towns in a reasonable proximity to each other and stay two or three nights in each town and explore the culture and sightseeing in each town. In this trip we spent entirely too much time in the car moving from place to place and although we enjoyed seeing what rural Ireland looks like, after a while it all looks the same.

Thank you for the review - we appreciate the feedback. I have now reviewed your file and see that the reservations team made repeated attempts to move you to a more central hotel in Kinsale however unfortunately there was no availability. Regarding your itinerary it was certainly aggressive based on your requests but I can see that this was flagged with you in email correspondence. As you know the itinerary we provide is suggested so that guests can pick and choose the attractions that appeal to them most based on how they are feeling on any given day as well as other variables such as weather, traffic, etc. As a side note helicopter tours are also an option - maybe for your next trip :)
