Italy Luxury Vacation Review: Sorrento, Rome, Pompeii, Capri, Vatican City, Colosseum, 8-Day Trip

We had a very nice trip.  There were only two small items that could be improved.  
First was our arrival.  Our flight was on time and we waited almost an hour for our driver to arrive.  He said he had run into a traffic accident, but there were many other drivers coming an going from the airport with no issue.  
Second was our underground tour in the Colosseum.  Our tour guide was very good.  However, she had a hard time gaining entry with us, as she was covering for the original tour guide who was ill.  The security in the Colosseum did not want to allow her entry because the ticket was not in her name.  They finally let her in with us.  However, they would not allow her to give us a private tour of the underground.  Instead, they put us with a Italian speaking tour group.  The tour guide in that group ignored us the entire time.  And we were unable to understand the tour.  We were disappointed in this experience.   
Overall, the trip was very enjoyable.  The hotel accommodations, the transfers and all the tour guides were fantastic.  Our guides in Vatican City, Colosseum, our driver, our guide in Pompeii, our captain for the day in Capri....we immensely enjoyed all of their hospitality, knowledge and insight they shared with us.  The special anniversary dinner for our friends at a hotel in Sorrento was great.  And your suggestion to stay in Sorrento versus Positano worked out well.  Thank you for all the help in planning the trip.  We have so many wonderful memories.
