Overall the trip went well.  However, this travel company did not measure up compared to the travel company in Spain the year before.  Some of the guides were very good, but the driver/guide in Naples spoke very little English and did not seem very knowledgable about the phenomenal Caravaggio art in the city.  The crowds in Pompeii and the Vatican were just oppressive and I wish the agent would have talked more with us about that possibility and given us some other options.  Perhaps that was my fault for not understanding better these issues. The travel agent completely missed the boat in the information given to us about the car rental. Most of the hotels were acceptable, but the one in Naples was very bad in that they had to send us to a different hotel because their power went off.  But the address given to the taxi driver was incorrect so this led to much consternation on our part.  Then the hotel tried to blame the taxi driver for the confusion rather than taking the blame themselves.  That hotel was also located in a very dirty part of Naples.
