Italy, Switzerland Vacation Review: Zurich, Bern, Florence, San Gimignano, Bologna

Zicasso's travel partner did an amazing job from start to finish. I really enjoyed working with her. She planned a beautiful trip for us and was very open to changes we wanted to make. The guides and drivers she used for our tour in Zurich, Bern, Florence, and San Gimignano were excellent.

We had some difficulty at the end of our trip and our tour operator was a huge help. Due to the snowstorm that hit Munich on December 2 and 3, our flight from Florence to Zurich was canceled and we were rebooked out of Bologna. The airline was going to bus us to Bologna, but said it would be late that evening. I called the weekend emergency number and the travel agent who answered was so helpful. She immediately got us a driver and we were able to go to Bologna and have a bonus vacation day instead of sitting on an airport floor all weekend. We ended up being delayed an additional day in Frankfurt due to missing our connection. We didn't need additional assistance, but it was nice to know the travel team would help us if necessary.
