Italy Vacation Review: Florence, Venice, Romance, Culture, Wine & Cuisine

From the day I was contacted by by our agent at this Italy travel company to the final day of our trip, I felt that he did everything to give us superior service, such as immediate return of phone calls, working hard to keep us within a budget yet not skimping on quality amenities, and keeping on top of all the details during our entire trip.  He planned every detail of the trip, enabling my husband and me to enjoy Italy without having to worry about the hassles of how to get from one city to the next and planned an assortment of fun events, but left us room for just enjoying the free time.  The local drivers that were provided were super friendly, helpful with tips for each town and made us feel like jet-setters.  While we saw other travelers lugging their suitcases and looking lost in Venice trying to find their hotels among the maze-like streets that all looked the same, our representative navigated us from the car to the boat, and then whisked us through the streets straight to our hotel, and even insisted on rolling all of our luggage himself.  I actually felt guilty.  Did I mention the most amazing wine tour he booked in Florence?  And as if all that wasn't enough, at each stop along the way of our trip, our drivers would receive a call (I'm guessing from our agent) to make sure that we had been retrieved from the train.  We truly felt pampered.  At each hotel a bucket of champagne awaited us with a note from our agent and his team, hoping that we were enjoying our trip.  We were!!!  I have never used a travel agent before this trip, but my husband and I commented repeatedly that we could not have navigated Italy as well if it had not been for our agent and this company!
