Italy Vacation Review: Sorrento, Pompeii, Siracusa, Sicily, Rome, Vatican, Cooking Class, Local Cuisine

I can think of just a few potential changes:

We seemed to be very busy almost every single day. While I understand we wanted to pack in as many activities as possible (and I wouldn't have skipped any of them), I might have tried to extend the trip by another day or two to allow for additional “down” time.

In hindsight, the time allotted for the tour of the Vatican and St. Peters was definitely not long enough, mostly due to the enormous crowds that made for slow navigation. This tour could easily have been a few hours longer, giving us additional time to enjoy St. Peters.

The same goes for visiting Mt. Etna. While the visit to the winery afterward was quite nice, everyone agreed that we would give that up to have additional time hiking and viewing the volcano.
