Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

I had a wonderful experience working with Zicasso’s travel agent. He was extremely patient throughout the process of creating an itinerary with me. Every detail of our amazing two-week trip was worked out and all logistics were perfect.

We went to Venice, Florence, Rome, Pompeii, and Positano/Amalfi Coast. I traveled with my 80-year-old mother. Having our own guides and private transportation (except for the trains) made it very easy and comfortable for her. All of our drivers and guides were exceptional.

I would get WhatsApp text reminders and could ask the agents a question at any time during the trip. This provided me with peace of mind, knowing I had help if needed. I would highly recommend them and not hesitate to travel with them again.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We enjoyed everything we did. One of the most fun experiences was going truffle hunting and then having a home-cooked meal using truffles as ingredients. We ate in the family's home and it felt very intimate and special.

We also enjoyed the opera in Venice. This was unique in that it was performed in one of the palaces by the Grand Canal. There was a small audience and we changed rooms for all three acts. The opera singers were very close.

Another highlight was going on the Vatican Necropolis tour. This was a small group tour and we saw ancient mausoleums and where St. Peter was buried. We also enjoyed seeing Pompeii.

Every location we went to was so different from each other. It was truly amazing!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I may not have flown through the Paris airport! It was crazy. I bought my own plane tickets, so that's on me, but certainly a learning experience. I would not have done anything differently. We saw everything we wanted to see and maximized our time. We were supposed to go to Capri, but due to the rough seas, they stopped the ferries, so I definitely want to do that when I return to Italy.
