Travel Company's Comment

I am very glad that overall our client had a great trip for the arrangements that my travel company and our staff organized.

The original agent moved on to another industry and I personally tried to assist picking up where she left off. The first time the client called she did catch me off guard and I had to check her file.  When a consultant leaves, I make a personal point to familiarize myself with each trip - no matter what you do it is still not like having a personal report with someone from the beginning.  I did my best and sorry if I came off like I didn’t want to be bothered.  As owner of the company, you are all my clients and I do care very much as many of my other reviews state.  

The ticket referred to was a ferry ticket for Robben Island cost approximately $30.  Our client called me from Cape Town and I did tell her to contact our local associate that she could better handle the situation in real time then I could due to the time differences.  With much back and forth we came to understand that the Robben Island museum ticket was booked on a credit card that our travel company could not access.  In order to make the changes or modifications we needed the exact number of the ticket and card.  It was much more efficient for the traveler to change this herself - not that we did not want to do it but we couldn’t.  As a courtesy we booked the ticket on line for her.  We normally have our associate book it but I believe our client felt it would cost less if we did it on-line.  We accommodated her.  We did not have a copy of the ticket in our file - there should have been a copy made by the original agent but she did not make hard copies.  I am sorry for this. 

It all did work out but we spent many international phones calls to our office to try to make the changes, Robben Island ticket office insisted on having all the information which we did not have.

To my memory the above is correct and we are sorry for any stress that was encountered.  Our travel company did provide a great trip as stated by the traveler but when an agent leaves I do know there can be uncertainty on the travelers part no matter what is done for that traveler.
