Social Media Post Belize: 5 days in the rainforest & 6 on a small island. We highly recommend this trip to all our fellow travel friends & family. Relatively easy to get there…only a 2 hr flight from Houston Tx, Everyone speaks English, use American currency and extremely friendly and welcoming people.

A quick shoutout to Catarina from our travel agency who coordinated all of our bookings in addition to land, boat transfers and excursions. She put together a perfect itinerary mixed with just the right amount of relaxation vs adventure. Using a travel agency was amazing as it took all of the worry, hassle with research and no struggles with information overload. Catarina stayed in text contact with us the entire time and that was very comforting. Would not change a thing.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Accommodations were perfect, food and staff amayzing at each property. The ATM cave and cultural experiences were by far highlights of our trip outside of just the natural beauty surrounding us. We learned to make corn tortillas starting with boiling the corn and got to eat them with lunch. We also learned to make clay pottery as the Mayans did centuries ago.
Snorkeling and scuba diving on the island were top hits for our stay at the hotel in Hatchet Caye and if you like ceviche it's delicious and made fresh each day with the local catch.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Again we would not change a thing. It truly was perfect from length, activity vs just relaxing and exploring on our own. Non-stop flights with lay flat sleeper seats would be nice but out of your control.
