Luxury Costa Rica Vacation Review: Monte Verde Cloud Forest, Manuel Antonio, Arenal Volcano, Hot Springs, Ziplinging, Hiking

The whole trip was great.  The hotels were very nice and each was unique in its own way.  Zip lining was great (the shortest line on our tour was probably twice as long as anything my wife and I were on in Hawaii).  The natural hot springs from the volcano were really cool (It was great that the water was almost too hot at the top, and then just warm by the time it got to the bottom - we had a good time finding the right pool to get the right temp the group wanted).  Rafting was a great split between excitement and relaxing down the river.  I feel like the rafting tour is missing out on talking about its lunch - it's on a farm and everything is farm to table (which seems to be a big thing in Chicago & LA where our group was from) but they didn't realize that's something anyone might care about.  They also did "fresh sugar 3 ways" - at first seemed to be a way to fill some time, but within a few minutes it was really engaging and a story we've told everyone now that we've gotten home.  The hike tour guides (we went on 2 guided hiking tours) were all great - It was amazing how they could spot animals (hidden sloths, very small snakes, bugs, birds, etc.  The monkeys were easy) and they were all very knowledgeable about the animals.
