Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We had a great vacation in London and Edinburgh. The accommodations recommended by our agency were great and the locations were optimal. The tours that were booked by the agency were somewhat disappointing and we were able to work with the agency after the fact.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We had never been to Edinburgh and loved the city.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Work more closely with our tour agency to select tours that allowed us to see more things with much less time spent in the car.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent trip to the UK with us. I am delighted to hear that you loved the hotels and very surprised to read that the tours to the Cotswolds and the Scottish highlands fell short of what was expected.
We pride ourselves on working only with the best tour guides across the country. Your initial request was for a trip that would take you outside London for a day as you knew the city very well and outside Edinburgh to experience the Highlands. Your guide for the Cotswolds Tour is a qualified Blue Badge Tourist Guide who knows the country better than anyone and with an encyclopaedic knowledge of almost everything (he has only received excellent feedback). He reported that you seemed very happy during the tour until the driver had to make a different turn (Junction 13) due to a car crash and a major tailback. You asked your driver to be back before 6.30 as you had a dinner reservation in Covent Garden at 6.30; at one time your wife asked if you could be dropped off at the restaurant then you changed your mind and opted for the Hotel. Cotswolds tours include stops at pretty villages/towns and you really saw the best plus the drive through the English countryside. Traffic incidents are out of our control and the distances between the sites are at they are. The Cotswolds are not on London’ s doorstep and include several different sites, so travel through the countryside is part of the experience, which what most visitors expect. I’m sorry that you did not appreciate what you saw.
Your guide for the Scottish highlands is phenomenal, he has been working with us for many years and all our clients loved him (as per all the 5 star reviews).Your guide reported that you asked to make some adjustments to the itinerary as you didn’t want to be seated in car for too long.
I sincerely hope that our decision to turn down your request for a refund did not affect the feedback you provided.
