Luxury Greece Travel Review: Athens, Acropolis Tour, Greek Islands, Mykonos, Naxos, Santorini, Sunset Cruise, Snorkeling

The trip was amazing - 10 days in Greece on three islands plus Athens. We traveled to Greece in late August/Early September 2013. Zicasso is such a great resource I have recommended it to several friends and colleagues. Also, in a day when customer support is generally lack luster, I found the Zicasso team to be very responsive and helpful. Through Zicasso, I selected a Greek travel agency to assist us with planning. We were well taken care of at each location. First, our travel agent was in Athens and he has a network of colleagues in the islands - that was a huge plus for us as we felt we had help nearby should anything go wrong. Also, we had the impression that he had a better handle on the availabilities and opportunities at hotels in the various locations we visited. We were told by another agent that certain hotels had availability when in fact they did not. We visited three islands and Athens, in each location we were greeted at the airport or sea port by a driver and often an agent to make sure our transition to each location was smooth. There were a few instances when we had basic questions during our trip, in each instance our travel agent or one of his colleagues responded to our inquiry via email or phone very promptly. The tours that the travel company set up (some private, some semi-private) were great. They met our exceeded our expectations and truly enhanced our visit. I would recommend working with our travel agent, he paid attention to the details of our requests and delivered exceptional results. The only downside related to our visit was spending a little over 4 hours in Athens airport the first day waiting for a connecting flight to Mykonos. That was a huge drag but I understand there was probably no way around it due to international and local flight schedules. I am a frequent traveler. I generally I do a ton of research and plan my own trips. I am so glad I found Zicasso and then the Greece tour operator because there is no way I could have orchestrated such a smooth and well planned trip. We will visit Greece again, and we will use the same travel company.
