Luxury Greece Vacation Review: Athens, Naxos, Mykonos, Acropolis & Local Food Tour, Kitron Distillery Visit

My boyfriend and I both LOVED the private tours we took. LOVED.
In Athens, it was the 5 hour Acropolis and local food tour (2 hrs at the Acropolis and 3 hr food tour). Our guide was absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable and just so lovely. It is so clear to me that she loves what she does and loves educating others about Greek history and Greek food. She brought us to this great little deli to have wine, cheese and meats and it was a highlight of Athens. This little place isn't something we would've ever found on our own. Everything was delicious. I had been to the Acropolis before, on my own without a tour, but to actually learn about it was much more fascinating, so I'm glad I returned.
In Naxos, we didn't originally plan for the driving tour of the villages but decided to add it on since we so enjoyed our Athens tour, and we're so glad we did. Both Naxos local contact and Georgia made it happen with little notice, and for that I'm thankful. Our guide there was just as amazing as our guide in Athens. And again, you learn so much more when you do a private tour. These villages are not anything we would've seen or learned about without this tour. They were amazing. We loved the 5th gen pottery shop (in Damalas) and the village made entirely of marble (Apeiranthos). We did some shopping in Chalki and toured the Kitron distillery. It was a wonderful day and we were back in time for sunset on our hotel rooftop. 
I had never done private tours before, usually in small/medium groups, and although pricey, I highly recommend doing these private tours. If not private, small group (6-8 max) to really get to know your guide and to get that 1:1 experience.
